UAW Local 5960 represents hourly workers at the General Motors Lake Orion Assembly Plant in Lake Orion, MI.  We are an amalgamated local with multiple units such as General Motors (Assembly), GM Sub-systems, LLC (Material Handling), JLL (Facilities Maintenance), Eurest (Sanitation), Integrity (Mobile Equipment Repair), VQQ (Supplier Quality) and TEAM (Paint Booth Cleaning).

Currently, our UAW Local 5960 members build and support producrtion of the Chevy Bolt EV, EUV and Cruise AV.  In the first quarter of 2022 General Motors announced plans to invest $4 billion dollars in Orion Assembly transitioning it from a small car facility to a truck plant in preparation to build the all-new Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV.  Our members are extremely excited about this announcement and look forward to a bright future at Orion Assembly!
